A heat pump for about the price of a new gas boiler, after the grant
Heat Geek says its average install price, £3,000 after the grant, is about the same as swapping out a gas boiler. We can offer its ZeroDisrupt system: Heat Geek's design tool scans your home room by room, and the design aims to make only the upgrades your home needs.

What it is
A heat pump system designed around real data
ZeroDisrupt is Heat Geek's AI heating system designer. It uses real-world data from the homes Heat Geek monitors to remove unnecessary upgrades, so the design covers what your home actually needs.
- A room-by-room scan. A LiDAR heat loss scan captures each room's size and construction.
- Only the upgrades it needs. Your home is compared with previous installations to find the lowest-cost set-up that meets your efficiency target. That might mean changing one or two radiators rather than ten.
- Your cylinder, if it's working well. An existing hot water cylinder can be kept where the data shows it performs well.
- Your choice. You can choose between a lower upfront cost and higher long-term efficiency, and see how each option affects running costs.
- Monitored. Live performance monitoring is standard on every installation.

What it costs
Heat Geek's figures, after the grant
Heat Geek says its average install price is £3,000 after the grant, which it describes as the same as swapping out a gas boiler. Its grant page says typical systems start from around £4,600 after the grant when replacing gas, and £3,100 when replacing oil or LPG.
Heat Geek says final costs depend on property size, insulation levels, emitter upgrades and system design. Its quotes exclude electrical supply, building or groundworks and any making good.

The Heat Geek Guarantee
Your system's efficiency, guaranteed for 5 years
Heat Geek guarantees the overall efficiency of your heat pump system, for heating and hot water together, at the figure in your quotation, for 5 years from the day it's commissioned.
- Measured, not assumedYour heat pump sends performance data every 15 minutes, and the efficiency is measured over 12 months of real operation.
- If it falls shortHeat Geek fixes it at no further cost to you, with at least three opportunities to put it right. If the efficiency still can't be reached, you get a refund of what you paid Heat Geek. Its liability is limited to that, and doesn't cover any grant.
- What it needs from youIncluding: agree to the monitoring and give Heat Geek access to your data through its portal; run the system as installed, without changing its settings; have it serviced every year to the manufacturer's instructions, with suitable water treatment (VDI 2035); keep your home's insulation as it was in the heat loss calculation; and let Heat Geek in to investigate any issue.
Exclusions apply, including extreme weather and factors outside Heat Geek's control. Full terms in Heat Geek's homeowner agreement (section 3.3.7).

Questions
ZeroDisrupt questions, answered
Is ZeroDisrupt a cheaper, lower-spec heat pump?
No. The saving comes from the design: Heat Geek's data shows which upgrades a home actually needs, so you don't pay for the rest. On the homes Heat Geek tested, it typically needed around 40% fewer parts to reach the same efficiency.
Will I need new radiators?
Possibly a few, but not necessarily many. The design might change one or two radiators rather than ten, depending on what your home needs.
Can I keep my hot water cylinder?
If the data shows it's performing well, yes. An existing cylinder isn't replaced by default.
Who applies for the grant?
Heat Geek applies for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on your behalf, and the grant is taken off before you pay. Its homeowner agreement says it needs a valid EPC to apply, and that if you don't meet the scheme's requirements, or Ofgem finds the property isn't eligible, you become liable for the value of the grant, payable when the project is completed.
How long does the installation take?
Usually 2 to 3 days on site, though some homes take longer. Heat Geek puts a traditional heat pump installation at one to two weeks on site.
Is my home suitable?
ZeroDisrupt is designed for typical UK homes currently heated by gas, from Victorian terraces and 1930s semis to modern estates. Larger renovations and extensions go through a separate bespoke process. The quickest way to find out is the instant estimate, or ask us.
What areas do you cover?
London, including North London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. See the areas we cover.
