Is it right for you?

Is a new boiler right for you?

A good fit if

  • Your home is on mains gas and your boiler is old, unreliable or due for replacement
  • You're upgrading the rest of your central heating at the same time

Probably not the right fit if

  • You're off the mains gas network. It's worth looking at a heat pump first
  • You're planning a heat pump in the next few years. It may make more sense to go straight to one
  • Your boiler only needs its yearly check. See boiler servicing

We install both boilers and heat pumps. We explain the available options and recommend solutions based on your home's requirements, rather than simply selling equipment.

Cost

What affects the cost of a new boiler

How we price

Every situation is different, including distance and other factors, so we don't list prices.

Quotations follow a property assessment and technical survey.

What moves the price

  • The boiler. The make, type and size your home needs
  • Like-for-like or a change. Moving the boiler, or changing its type, means more work
  • The flue and gas supply. Whether either needs changing to suit the new boiler
  • The rest of the system. Radiators, pipework, controls and any hot water cylinder

What's included

  • Technical surveys
  • Heating design
  • Equipment selection
  • Installation
  • Commissioning
  • System handover
  • Aftercare
  • Manufacturer warranties and any additional service arrangements, explained within the quotation

Kirk Ferguson of NuRenewables Heating is the most knowledgeable heating engineer/plumber I have ever used and performed an absolutely superb job reworking how my entire heating and hot water system was configured for a large extension. This included installing a new boiler, powertank (to improve the water pressure), hot water cylinder, 3 bathrooms and a kitchen amongst other works.

Kirk is a delight to have in the house, is super tidy, but most of all is an expert in his field and applies a scientific approach to his installations to maximise the efficiency for the homeowner.

Kylie P.Google review · October 2026

I first met Kirk in 2022, when he came to repair my 14-year-old boiler, which really should have been replaced years earlier. He managed to get it working again until I was able to afford a new one, and was friendly and honest about what needed doing. In 2023, he came back to install the new boiler, and I was really happy with the service.

Since then, I’ve recommended Kirk to friends and people in the community. He serviced the boiler at my new home in 2025, and he’ll be back soon to redo my bathroom. I can’t fault his service: he’s friendly, honest and reasonably priced. I’d happily recommend him.

Manufacturer warranties, and any additional service arrangements, are explained within your quotation. Our own work comes with a 2-year guarantee.

A typical, straightforward boiler installation takes 1 to 2 days. It depends on the flushing time, which varies with the quality of the system and the number of radiators, and on delivery times. Your quotation explains the work involved.
